Seymour churches unite for upcoming services


Four Seymour churches are coming together for Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services.

The Rev. Sondra Gentry of Bethel Community Church will preach during a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. April 6 at First United Methodist Church, 201 E. Third St., Seymour.

The Rev. Teresa Poole of First United Methodist Church will preach during a Good Friday service at noon April 7 at her church. Following that service, a wooden cross will be carried from First United Methodist Church to Bethel Community Church, which is at 350 Calvin Blvd.

Everyone is invited to the services and to participate in the cross walk.

The events are sponsored by First United Methodist Church, Trinity United Methodist Church, Bethel Community Church and Seymour Harvest Church.
