Schneck Medical Center in Seymour is holding a March Madness food drive lasting through the end of the month.

The event is to recognize National Nutrition Month, all things March Madness and to pass along some “Give back goodness” to local food pantries.

Schneck employees will be on various teams according to the departments they work in and will receive a weekly email with the highlighted pantry of the week.

During the food drive, Schneck will be collecting food items for Anchor House Family Assistance Center and Pantry, Community Provisions of Jackson County, I Care Ministries Food Pantry and The Alley.

Lesley Kendall, nutrition services manager at Schneck, said the food drive competition is for Schneck employees, but they will gladly accept donations from the public.

“We will have a donation box in the cafeteria from 6:30 a.m. to 6 pm. Monday through Friday,” she said.
