Two Seymour boards met on the same day earlier this month and chose to keep the same leaders for 2023.

The Seymour Parks and Recreation Department board unanimously voted for Monica Riley to serve as president and Bethany Rust to serve as vice president for this year.

Other members of the board are Art Juergens, Tim Ferret and Kendra Zumhingst.

The board meets at 4 p.m. on the second Monday of each month in the council chambers at city hall. Meetings are open to the public and press.

During a meeting later that day, the Seymour City Council voted 6-1 for Dave Earley to serve as president again in 2023. Bret Cunningham cast the lone nay vote.

Other members of the council are Drew Storey, Matt Wheeler, Jerry Hackney, Chad Hubbard and Seth Davidson.

The council meets at 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of each month in the council chambers. Meetings are open to the public and press.
