Members of the Schneck Medical Center board of trustees were administered their oaths of office during Monday night’s meeting at the Seymour hospital.

Brandon Harpe and Terry Gilliland were reappointed to the board by the Jackson County Commissioners for three-year terms, running from Jan. 1 of this year to Dec. 31, 2025. Drew Markel, a member of the Schneck board and president of the county commissioners, administered the oaths.

Markel also administered oaths for the installation of board officers: Rick Smith, chairman; Jack McCory, vice chairman; and Gilliland, secretary. Those are effective for 2023 and 2024.

Other members of the board are Susan Bevers, Dr. Courtney Kleber and commissioners Bob Gillaspy and Matt Reedy.

Also during the meeting, board members were appointed to a lengthy list of hospital committees.

The board typically meets at 8 p.m. on the third or fourth Monday of each month in the boardroom at the hospital. Meetings are open to the public and press.
