Board of works to meet Thursday

The Seymour Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday in the council chambers at city hall, 301-309 N. Chestnut St., Seymour.

The agenda includes discussion of past business regarding an on-call contract with FPBH Inc.

New business on the agenda highlights the discussion of an Independent Bookstore Day Festival with The Magic of Books Bookstore in Seymour and Frühlingsfest hosted by the Knights of Columbus and an application for a motor vehicle operating license for a potato-inspired food truck.

There also will be reports from Fire Chief Brad Lucas, City Engineer Bernie Hauersperger and Water Pollution Control Director Jarin Gladstein.
