The Seymour Police Department has made another arrest in connection with an Oct. 12 drug-related robbery on North Ewing Street that led to a man suffering a gunshot wound.

Qwenton L. Bolden, 18, of Seymour is the sixth person to be arrested for involvement in the incident. He was arrested Tuesday in Columbus on a Jackson Circuit Court warrant, according to a news release from Lt. C.J. Foster.

Bolden, who faces charges of burglary with a deadly weapon, a Level 2 felony, and armed robbery, a Level 3 felony, is the last remaining person to be arrested in the investigation, Foster said.

He was booked into the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday but was released at 3:23 p.m. on his own recognizance.

During the robbery attempt, Bolden was shot and had to be transferred to Indianapolis for treatment, police said.

Others arrested in connection with the incident include Bethany Alyssa Coomer, 19, of Seymour, Kianna M. Deleon, 26, of Medora and Destinee C. Brewer, 21, of Columbus. The trio all face charges of burglary with a deadly weapon, a Level 2 felony, and armed robbery, a Level 3 felony.

Amelia Mize-Martinez, 19, of Seymour also faces charges of dealing marijuana, possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia in connection with the incident, and a 17-year-old male juvenile has been arrested for dealing in marijuana.

The arrests occurred after Seymour officers responded to a report of a person with a gunshot wound at a home at 916 N. Ewing St. at 3:15 a.m. Oct. 12.

During the incident, several people forcibly entered the home of someone they knew over drug-related motives while armed with a stolen handgun, police said.

A struggle ensued, and a firearm was used, resulting in one of the entrants, later identified as Bolden, being struck by gunfire, police said.

A Level 2 felony carries a sentence of 10 to 30 years in prison upon conviction.
