MEDORA
John Ballard Frederickson, 73, of Medora, passed away early Tuesday January 29, 2019 at his residence.
John was born on June 13, 1945 at the home of Donald M. and Myrtle (Ballard) Frederickson in Seymour, Indiana. Both have preceded him in death. John married Sharon (Hochstetler) Frederickson on November 28, 1970 at the Calvary Baptist Parsonage in Seymour, Indiana.
He was a 1963 graduate of Brownstown High School. After graduation John became a U.S. Marine and a served in the Vietnam War. John also was a mechanic and former owner of John’s Marathon Garage in Medora.
John is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sharon; 2 sons, Bryan R. Frederickson and Kevin L. Frederickson; 2 brothers William Frederickson and Donald Frederickson; 2 sisters, Janet Stevenson and Michealee (Allen) Nolan; and 2 aunts, Jeannie Murphy and Jane Ballard; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Donna Jeffers.
A Celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date. All final services are being held by Hague Funeral Home of Medora.
