Jo Ann Lang, 87, of Seymour, Indiana entered eternal life on April 17, 2024. She was born October 18, 1936 in Madison, Indiana to the late William Ross and Elma (O’Connell) Ross. In September 1968, she married the love of her life, Carl Lang, in Columbus, Ohio, and he preceded her in death.

Jo Ann was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her life was all about love and happiness. She loved her garden and spent many happy hours there. She also loved traveling and cooking meals with love for her family.

One of Jo Ann’s favorite things was spending time with her grandkids and attending their sporting events. She was their biggest fan, always proud of their achievements, and loved them immensely. Jo Ann had a special bond with her sister Jean. They shared many laughs and memories, making their bond strong and unbreakable.

She is survived by her sons, Terry (Susan) Lemon, Gary Lemon, and Michael (Krista) Lang; her grandchildren, Andy (Christie) Lemon, Rowden (Brooke) Lemon, Emilee (Brandon Terrell) Lang, Victoria Lang, and Hudson Lang; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Lemon, Addison Lemon, and Abraham Lemon; sister, M. Jean (David) Goebel; brother, John (Rhonda) Ross; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, listed above; husband, Carl; grandson, Joey Lemon; brother, William Ross; and sisters, Virginia Shelly, H. Jackie Nolan, and Laura Mefford.

Funeral services for Jo Ann will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Seymour. Pastor Andrew Currao and Pastor Zachary Huffman will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of the service. In keeping with Jo Ann’s wishes, the family has chosen cremation, and services are entrusted to Voss and Sons Funeral Services, Seymour.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church or Trinity Lutheran High School.
