Seymour Main Street Executive Director Bri Roll is stepping down from her position Friday, according to a news release from the organization.

As Roll steps into a new role in the private sector, Main Street wishes her success, according to the news release.

During her tenure, Roll oversaw the implementation of transformational strategy focus areas including Placemaking with an emphasis on family-friendly activities, continued development of public spaces, business activation and development, and intentional business recruitment and retention.

Furthermore, Roll established our Historic Downtown building and business inventories to identify downtown areas of need, which will influence strategic project prioritization for greater impact. Roll also oversaw the integration and execution of our Strategic Plan and Streetscape Master Plan SMART goals, a brand-new fundraising event for 2024, and the implementation of an Annual Awards Mixer to show appreciation for supporters and honor outstanding achievements within our district. Roll also is credited with building awareness of the organization, and building a strong personal community through relationships, partnerships, and pipelines such as SPARK Initiative and the Maverick Challenge.

“It has been a privilege to serve as the executive director of Seymour Main Street, and I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to be part of the positive growth happening in downtown Seymour,” Roll said. “I look forward to cheering you on as a customer, friend and a forever Main Streeter.”

Seymour Main Street board president Melissa Acton said Roll’s leadership impacted the growth of the organization.

“Bri’s role as a dynamic leader has evolved along with the position,” she said. “From wearing all the hats in the organization to an executive focused on strategy and growth, Bri has been integral piece of Seymour Main Street’s tactical evolution.”

Main Street, a nonprofit organization, will begin the search for a new executive director. A timeline is currently being established and will be shared soon with a job description.
