Tickets available for museum’s Old-Fashioned Christmas

The Seymour Museum Center will host Old-Fashioned Christmas from 4 to 6 p.m. Dec. 16 at the museum, 220 N. Chestnut St., Seymour.

The event will precede the Seymour Parks and Recreation Department’s Christmas Lights Parade in downtown Seymour.

Tickets are $15 per child or $50 for four and will include a visit to a live Nativity portrayed by the youth of Reddington Christian Church, Christmas stories read by Deb Bedwell dressed as an angel, a visit and picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus, displays of antique toys, trains and Christmas decorations and a take-home treat. Carolers will share carols, and all can sign along.

Visitors are welcome to watch the parade from the museum steps. It starts at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets are available at the Jackson County Visitor Center and Artistic Impressions in Seymour.

Also, the museum is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. Anyone interested in volunteering may send a message via facebook.com/seymourmuseuminc.
