Tipton Street in Seymour is closed between Walnut Street and Community Drive at this time because of downed utility lines from broken poles.
Traffic is being diverted by city officers onto side streets. The length of the closure is not available at this time.
At 11 a.m. today, Duke Energy was reporting four customers without power and estimating the power would be restored by 1 p.m. today.
Seymour firefighters were called to the scene of contain liquid that came from the transformers that broke up when the hit the pavement.
