Two former Jackson County athletes earned Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honors at Franklin College for softball.

Trinity Lutheran’s Genesis Munoz made first team all-HCAC, and Seymour’s Stephanni Kleber made second team All-HCAC.

This is the second straight season Munoz earned a first team selection after batting .343 with four long balls and 37 RBI while handling the primary duties at first base and in the cleanup spot in the lineup. The former Cougar recorded 47 hits with nine doubles, as well.

Kleber earned the first all-conference award of her career after going 17-6 with a 2.40 ERA and 18 complete games with 140 innings of work. The former Owl also earned the first HCAC Pitcher of the Week award of her career and came one win shy of matching former Franklin ace Olivia Paszek for the most wins in a season in school history.

Franklin finished the season 31-14 and 11-5 in the HCAC.
