The 15th annual Hotrods and Academics Cruise-In will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Seymour High School, 1350 W. Second St., Seymour.

Registration will be during that three-hour time frame. The cost to enter a vehicle is $10. The first 50 vehicles will receive dash plaques.

Awards will be presented at 8 p.m. Specialty awards include best paint, best interior, principal’s choice, best under construction and best fabrication.

There also will be door prizes, and the Schocke’s Meats food truck will be there for attendees to buy food and drinks.

The cruise-in is organized by the SHS CARR Club. Standing for Customs, Academics, Racing and Restorations, the club is designed to appeal to students interested in some form of the automotive world and tie that into academic success.

The event is open to students and the community.
