The Alpha Beta Chapter of Psi Iota Xi sorority is inviting all current and former members to our 100th anniversary celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church, 201 E. Third St., Seymour.

Our local chapter has been actively involved in art, literature, music and speech and hearing for more than 100 years. From holding hearing clinics to sponsoring field trips for schoolchildren, we have raised money by having a booth at the Oktoberfest to selling cheese balls and from other endeavors. All of the money raised is donated to organizations to promote the best art, literature and music to enrich the lives of others.

Please come and reminisce through our scrapbooks and memorabilia that will be out for display. There will be entertainment and refreshments to enjoy along with special guests. Annette Reitman and Georgiann Coons will tell of some of the history of the chapter, and we will be awarding money from our fundraising efforts. There will be door prizes too.

For questions or information, contact Coons at 812-216-1449.

We are welcoming new members, so if you would like to join or just wanting to learn more about us, please join us, too.

If you are unable to come but would like to help in our fundraising efforts, you may mail a check to our treasurer, Beverly Kimbley, 726 W. Seventh St., Seymour, IN 47274.
