Health fair set for Saturday at Schneck

The public is invited to the SchneckWELL Community Health Fair from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the Schneck Professional Building, 411 W. Tipton St., Seymour.

Schneck Medical Center will welcome people for free breast, cervical, skin cancer and prostate screenings, reduced-cost blood work, adult and pediatric vaccines, free colorectal cancer screening kits and more health care resources.

There also will be a pharmaceutical take-back at the pharmacy booth on Level 1. This will give people an opportunity to drop off old and unused medications to keep the potentially dangerous items out of the environment and the wrong hands by safely disposing of them.

Information about the free screenings and preregistration are available online at schneckmed.org/events/schneckwell-community-health-fair.

For children, a Teddy Bear Clinic, sponsored by the Schneck Foundation, will allow them to learn about medical checkups, equipment and procedures as they care for their new teddy bear friend. This is best suited for children ages 3 to 10. They will receive a teddy bear to take home.

Preregistration is recommended. To preregister and learn more, visit ow.ly/7CiI50Nszla.
