Make Seymour Shine coming up next week

0

The annual Make Seymour Shine is April 17 to 21.

This gives city residents an opportunity to place one pile of items at the curb on their regular trash pickup day. Trash must be set out by 7 a.m. on your regular trash pickup day. Any large piles afterwards will be charged.

This is for residential and small businesses only. There will be no alley pickups.

If trash is in a 35-gallon or smaller container, it will be thrown away. Landscaping, wood debris, drywall and remodeling debris should be separated from yard waste. Separate trash, metal and yard waste.

Latex paint must be dried with cat litter, saw dust or oil dry. No oil-based paint or spray paint will be accepted.

Four used vehicle tires per household are allowed. No semi-truck or agricultural tires will be picked up.

Asbestos items are not accepted. There will be a $20 fee for televisions, computer monitors and laptops.

Household hazardous waste, including pesticides, old fuels, cleaner, oil-based paint, etc., may be brought to the Seymour Department of Public Works’ recycle information booth during regular business hours. That’s at 865 F Ave. East in the Freeman Field Industrial Park.
