Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid 3 recently met with 15 members in attendance.

Hostesses for the evening were Rosalie Grabinski and Sandy Waskom. President Sandee Helwig opened the meeting with the singing of the group’s chosen hymn, No. 770 “What a Friend We Have in Jesus,” and the reciting of Psalm 4.

Todd Behmlander, principal of Immanuel Lutheran School, presented the program. He said 320 students were enrolled this year, and there were three new teachers.

Behmlander said scholarships and vouchers are available for those wishing to attend a Christian school. Students are encouraged to “Be the Gift” by sharing their time and talents through such missions as preparing Christmas boxes, prayers for The Tribune in the month of October, gathering and helping at Anchor House Family Assistance Center and Pantry, distributing blankets and supporting Clarity, to name a few. Students are recognized for their good citizenship and Christian values displaying the Warrior Way.

The current campaign “Faith for the Future” will fund many of the needed improvements to the school. A quiz was given regarding the history of the school.

Several letters of correspondence were read, and committee reports were given. Visitation reports to local nursing homes were given. Helwig reported letters for the craft show in November will soon be sent out, and plans are in progress.

The meeting was closed with singing and the Lord’s Prayer. The next meeting will be March 21.
