Medora defeats Cannelton

The Medora boys basketball team rolled to victory on Friday night, defeating Cannelton at home 68-33.

Braxton McCory led the Hornets with 27 points, and Shepard Earl contributed 12. Dawson Cornett scored seven points, Jaxon Nugen had six and Eli Lane, Kade Wright, Hudson Johnson and Eli Sturgill all scored four points apiece.

Friday was also Senior Night for Medora. The Hornets honored McCory, Earl and Sturgill prior to the game.

Medora, now 8-11 this season, will play again tonight at Washington Catholic at 7:30 p.m.

Rock Creek tops Trinity

The Trinity Lutheran boys basketball team played at home against Rock Creek Academy on Friday night inside Bollinger Athletic Complex.

It was the away team thar put up the most on the scoreboard as Rock Creek won 59-44.

Kowan Gross led the Cougars in scoring with 17 points, Luke Coomler scored 12, Levi Pottschmidt had nine and Eli Ballard and Peyton Pollert both scored three points.

Trinity also played on Thursday night. The Cougars went on the road to Madison and fell to the Cubs 54-44.

Pottschmidt scored 17 points, Gross had 10, Coomler nine, Ballard three, Josh Conrad three and Pollert two.

Trinity (6-15) will close its regular season on Tuesday night at Greenwood Christian.
