Marjorie Ellen “Dottie” Sentz, 92, of Seymour, IN passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Autumn Trace Senior Living in Seymour. She was born on November 14, 1930, in Seymour, the daughter of Walter and Maude (Weasner) Findley. She married Joseph Luther Sentz on December 29, 1950 in Crothersville, IN and he preceded her in death on February 6, 2010.

Marjorie is survived by two sons, Joseph Michael “Mike” (Mary) Sentz and Mark Kevin (Candy) Sentz. In addition to her two sons Marjorie is survived by four grandchildren, Brian Michael, Craig Allen (Stephanie), Kyle Andrew and Casey JoEllen (John Pedigo) Sentz; four great-grandchildren, Brady Robert and MaKenna Marie Sentz, Arlo and Iola Pedigo; a brother-in-law, Brickley (Lottie) Sentz and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Joseph, Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Opal Beineke, Gladys Lucas, Lawrence Findley, Eugene Findley, Robert Findley, Rosemary Mellencamp, Ethel Findley, Betty Hudson, Sue Smith and Billy Findley.

Marjorie was a charter member of the Peter’s Switch Church of the Nazarene. She was known for her excellent cooking and baking – especially her homemade pies. Besides her cooking and baking she was known for always having a spotless house. She was a 1948 graduate of Seymour High School.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 1pm at the Voss & Son’s Funeral Home in Seymour. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11am until the time of services at 1pm at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in Marjorie’s name may be made to the Peter’s Switch Church of the Nazarene.
