The Hamilton Township Volunteer Fire Department recently had its annual gathering with firefighters and families.

A few members were recognized for their service. Tommy Hoffmeier was named EMS Provider of the Year, Jeremy Kleber was named Volunteer of the Year, Tyler Wetzel was named Officer of the Year and R.C. Wayt was named Firefighter of the Year.

“We had a very busy year, and our department would not be what it is without the dedication of every member of the department, so thank you to each and every member who volunteers their time and makes countless sacrifices to help others,” Chief Cody Hercamp said in a post on the department’s Facebook page.

“We also could not do what we do without the support of our families, who sacrifice just as much as our volunteers do,” he said. “And lastly, we want to thank the community for your support of our department.”
