The Columbus Symphony Orchestra and Dance Street Studio plan to present “Puttin’ on the Ritz: A Night of Live Music and Dancing” in support of the symphony’s 100th season.

This speakeasy-themed fundraiser will occur from 4 to 8 p.m. March 26 at the Upland Pump House private event space.

Throughout the course of the evening, Ronda Byers of Dance Street Studio will teach three different styles of dance popular during the 1920s: The Charleston, Foxtrot and Jitterbug. After each lesson, there will be open dancing with the orchestra performing live. Light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar also will be provided.

Tickets sales will continue through March 17. General admission tickets, which are $55 per person, include three dance lessons, light hors d’oeuvres and open dancing. VIP tickets, which are $75 per person, include everything offered through the general admission ticket plus a reserved seat at one of the banquet tables, one drink ticket and one complimentary entry into the evening’s raffle.

Tickets may be purchased online at csoindiana/dancefundraiser. All of the proceeds raised through this event will help support the orchestra’s mission of furthering musical excellence for education and enjoyment within the Columbus community.

Questions about the fundraiser can be sent to the orchestra’s board of directors at [email protected].
