Rex Alan Lynch, 64 of Converse, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at his home. Born on June 6, 1958, in Seymour, he was the son of the late Max B. and Mildred (Stuckwisch) Lynch.

Growing up Rex enjoyed hunting & fishing. He attended St Johns Lutheran Church where he was confirmed. He also attended Bunker Hill & Maconaquah High School where he was a member of the FFA & played basketball.

Rex was a truck driver for different companies over the years. In his free time he enjoyed helping others, campfires & attending Fuel Church in Kokomo with his dear friends Greg & Martha Foster. He also enjoyed working for several farmers in the Converse area.

Survivors include his sons, Jeffrey, Rodney Bakecorn and Troy Bakecorn both of Converse, brothers, Doug Lynch of Seymour and Timothy Lynch of Arkansas, sisters, Tracy Althouse of Indianapolis and Sandy Williamson of Peru and half- sister, Debbie Loper of Norman. He was also survived by good friends Greg and Martha Foster and their kids and grandkids from Amboy and Michael Newman Jr. (Lumpy) who were like a second family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife, Gayle, the mother of Rodney and Troy Bakecorn.

There will be no services.

A Celebration of Life will be held in June at Greg and Martha Foster’s home in Amboy.
