PALMYRA

James Allen Scott Sr., 61, of Palmyra, Indiana passed away at his home on October 6, 2022. He was born in Columbus, Indiana on January 16, 1961, to Mae Scott and the late Denzil Scott.

He was a handyman and enjoyed working on cars, crossword puzzles, hunting and fishing. But most of all he enjoyed being with his family and loved his grandkids.

James is survived by his children, Mary (David Henderson) Booher, Ashley (Danny Land) Walls, Jamie (Phillip) Pierce, James Jr. “Bub” Scott, Chantel Scott, Chris Scott, Kirsten Yates, and Jennifer Alcorn; 19 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; Mother Mae Scott; brothers; Lewis Scott and John Scott; sister, Regina Amonett; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his children, James Jr. Scott, Tammy Scott, Roger Scott, and Father Denzil Scott, brother Denzil “Shorty” Scott, sisters, Mary Scott, and Rebecca Scott, and his first wife Nina Scott.

Visitation will be held at Voss and Sons Funeral Service 316 North Chestnut St. Seymour, Indiana 47274 on Wednesday October 12, 2022, from 11 am until the time of service at 1 pm.
