Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Force Construction Co. Inc. is continuing work on the $65 million added travel lanes project on Interstate 65 that began in early 2021.

Starting Monday night, crews will begin maintenance and rehabilitation work on bridge beams underneath the I-65 overpass in Columbus.

This work will result in nightly ramp and lane closures at the State Road 46 interchange. Restrictions and closures will take place through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., weather permitting.

Closures and restrictions are planned as follows:

Today and Wednesday (9 p.m. to 5 a.m.): I-65 northbound to State Road 46 westbound ramp closed

State Road 46 westbound to I-65 southbound ramp closed

State Road 46 eastbound left turn lane to I-65 northbound reduced to one lane

State Road 46 eastbound thru lanes reduced to one lane

State Road 46 westbound thru lanes reduced to two lanes

Thursday and Oct. 10 to Oct. 11 (9 p.m. to 5 a.m.): I-65 northbound to State Road 46 westbound ramp closed

I-65 southbound to State Road 46 eastbound ramp closed

State Road 46 eastbound left turn lanes to I-65 northbound reduced to one lane

State Road 46 westbound to I-65 southbound left turn lanes reduced to one lane

Oct. 12 to Oct. 13 and Oct. 17 (9 p.m. to 5 a.m.): I-65 southbound to State Road 46 eastbound ramp closed

State Road 46 eastbound to I-65 northbound ramp closed

State Road 46 westbound to I-65 southbound left turn lanes reduced to one lane

State Road 46 westbound thru lanes reduced to one lane
