Hunting leases program planned in Bedford

A program on the pros and cons of leasing hunting rights on private land is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday at Otis Park Bath House, 607 Tunnelton Road, Bedford.

Rob Haubry will speak to the question many private landowners have on whether or not to lease their land for hunting or allow others to hunt on their land. He has experience helping landowners navigate these decisions and can give insight into some of the mistakes people might make or why they might consider leasing their land or might want to avoid having hunters on their private land.

Haubry will welcome questions during the program, which is part of the Bedford Parks Program series that presents a different program every month.

RSVP to the park office by Friday at 812-275-5692 or email [email protected] so enough handouts and chairs are ready.

The Oct. 25 program will be on species native to southeast Indiana, presented by wildlife biologist Savannah Stout.
