Final City Jam of the year set for Thursday

The fifth and final show of the 2022 Seymour Main Street City Jam summer concert series is set to take place this week.

It will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the JCBank Pavilion at Crossroads Community Park, 101 E. Tipton St., Seymour.

The concert will feature Flying Buffaloes, an alt-country rock band from Nashville, Tennessee. The formation of the band is the quintessential Nashville story: Five musicians, drawn like moths to the neon lights of the city’s famed Lower Broadway, converge to form a band.

Fueled by their desire to deliver the organic energy of rock and roll coupled with the lyrical honesty of classic country, Flying Buffaloes has found themselves opening for a range of acts, including Drivin N Cryin and Wade Bowen, in addition to headlining tours throughout the south and Midwest.

Junkyard BBQ and Kovener’s Korner will be have food and ice cream for sale. Drinks will be available from The Pines. All refreshments are available at 6 p.m.

There is no cost for admission, and those who attend are welcome to bring chairs and blankets, visit sponsors’ booths and buy merchandise from Seymour Main Street or the featured band.

The concerts are sponsored by JCBank, The Tribune, Voss & Sons and Goecker Construction as well as junior sponsors Schneck Medical Center, CPR Cell Phone Repair, Family Ford Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Roger Wessel Berkshire Hathaway, The Pines and SIHO Insurance Services.
