Pastor Kenneth “Kenny” Roy Krebbs, 79, of Columbus, went to his heavenly home at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2022 while at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Kenny was born December 2, 1942, in Brown County, Indiana, the son of Virgil and Mina Mobley Krebbs.

Mr. Krebbs worked for Cummins Engine Company for 30 years before retiring. He was a volunteer with the Brown County Fire Department, Brown County EMS and was also a first responder while he worked for Cummins Engine Company. Kenny became an ordained minister for the United Methodist Church for over 25 years, ministering at various churches across southern Indiana. He loved to work with youth groups, even on camping trips. He worked as a valet for Columbus Regional Hospital and for the Columbus Parks and Recreational Department. He loved reading the bible and looked forward to participating in various church activities. Camping at Ceraland where he could enjoy spending time with friends, family, his dog Sassy along with other animals as some of his favorite things to do. He loved to hunt, even mushrooms, and fish whenever he had a chance. Kenny also liked to take roadside pictures of different landscapes and flowers. Pastor Kenny will be dearly missed by those that know him the best.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy “Judy” Krebbs of Columbus, children, Patricia Krebbs, also of Columbus, Kenny Krebbs of Seymour, Charles (Lana) Barr, Robert (Sue) Barr, Debora Caudill, all of Columbus; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, William “Bill” Krebbs, also of Seymour, Beverly (Ron) Neawedde of Elizabethtown, several nieces, nephews and former spouse, June Krebbs of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents along with numerous aunts and uncles.

The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with Pastor Charles Aigner officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Christiansburg Cemetery in Brown County, Indiana at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
