An International Overdose Awareness Day event is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Crossroads Community Park, 101 E. Tipton St., Seymour.

The event will include speakers, music, food, resources and a butterfly release.

The observance is the world’s annual campaign to end overdose, remember without stigma those who have died and acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind, according to overdoseday.com.
