The deadline for registering for the Seymour Oktoberfest parade and nominating your choice for parade marshal is Thursday.

Sign up for the parade online at seymouroktoberfest.com/reg-parade. Once the cap has been reached, entries will be put on a waiting list in case someone else decides to not participate.

The parade is at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 1. No candy will be allowed to be handed out or tossed due to insurance liability with the two incidents last year that made this not possible, festival officials said.
