Thomas “Tom” Joe Williams, 60, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, August 13, 2022, while at home with his wife following an extended illness. He was born on June 26, 1962, in Seymour, Indiana the son of Joe and Sue (Lucas) Williams.

Thomas graduated from Seymour High School in 1980 and attended Indiana State University for his bachelor’s in education and eventually graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary for his Master of Divinity.

He married the love of his life, Becky (Lupton) Williams on August 2, 1986, and she survives. Pastor Tom had pastored several Southern Baptist Churches throughout the Midwest in his 25-year career.

Currently, he was a member of Harris Chapel Church of the Nazarene, he had been an Eagle Scout as well.

Tom enjoyed camping, the Smokey mountains, bird watching, singing gospel, and sports. He was a basketball coach, enjoyed the outdoors, and had a passion for Marriage Ministries and Financial Peace University.

Besides his wife of 36 years, Becky, he is survived by 4 daughters, Lydia Mwangi (Mwangi), Abbie Williams, Kara Williams, and Hannah Williams; granddaughter Lyanna Mwangi.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Sue Williams.

Funeral visitation will be held on Thursday, August 18 at 5:00 p.m. at Parson Mortuary in Muncie, Indiana. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 19 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastors Roger Bear, Jim Ballenger, and Dan Kauffman officiating. Burial will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery.

Friends may call at Parson Mortuary from 5:00 p.m. Thursday until 8:00 p.m.
