Youth at Brownstown Church of the Nazarene are planning a fish fry fundraiser to raise money for a denominational youth conference in Tampa, Florida, next summer.

The denomination hosts the Nazarene Youth Conference every four years for teenagers in ninth through 12th grades. It’s a week of worship service, training and missions projects.

The fish fry is from 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 26 at the church, 616 W. Commerce St., Brownstown. The cost is $12 for a meal consisting of three pieces of fish, baked beans, coleslaw and macaroni and cheese. Additional pieces of fish will be available for purchase.

The fish fry is being conducted by a group known as Jonah Fish Fry, which has been doing fish fries for organizations since 1933. It’s most known in the Wabash Valley area.
