A back-to-school open house is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Brownstown Elementary School, 612 S. Base Road, Brownstown.

Students will be able to meet their teacher and check out their classroom, and parents will have an opportunity to pay book rental and lunch money or fill out an application for free or reduced lunches and textbook rental. Important information also will be available in the school’s gymnasium.

Incoming kindergarten parent orientation also has been announced by the school. It will be at 6 p.m. today in the school cafeteria.
