Maxie Marie (Neal) Bequeret, age 85, a native of Crab Orchard, Kentucky and a resident of Freetown, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at her residence. She was born on October 3, 1936 to the late George Neal and the late Grace Neal. Maxie was a member of Gorbits Chapel Baptist Church for over 60 years. She will forever be remembered as an outgoing, loving, outspoken, feisty lady that spoke her mind. She enjoyed gardening, canning, shooting guns with her husband, going to flea markets and taking road trips in the car enjoying the beauty of the day.

Maxie was a wonderful cook and made the best biscuits ever. she loved her family and her dogs very much and she will be sadly missed by each life that she impacted in her own special way.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 51 years, Alois “Al” Bequeret of Freetown, Indiana, two daughters, Betty Branum and her husband Tom of Kurtz, Indiana and Mona Taylor and her husband Robert of Freetown, Indiana. Three sons, Walter Dean Delph of Freetown, Indiana, Al Bequeret of Freetown, Indiana and Michael Lee Delph of Brownstown, Indiana. One sister, Judy Winegar and her husband Roger of Brownstown, Indiana. Eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren, Holly Marie and Homer Delph. three brothers, Floyd Neal, John C. Neal and Charles Neal. Four sisters, Sarah Root, Mary Jane Burdine, Marilyn Neal and Rudy Button.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 11:00 am until 2:00 PM at Christensen Family Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM, Pastor Jim Hudson officiating.
