Brownstown school board reorganizes for 2022-23

The Brownstown Central Community School Corp. board of school trustees reorganized during a recent meeting at the administration building.

Trustee Scott Shade will continue to serve as president, and trustee Brian Wheeler was elected vice president. Other trustees elected to office were Gina Hackman, secretary; and Jerry Hounshel, assistant secretary.

Other board appointments include trustee Clayton Beard, Indiana School Boards Association liaison; trustee David Martin, vocational agricultural committee representative; and trustee Paul Borden, athletic council representative.

The board also appointed Patsy Hess as the treasurer and Jade Peters as the assistant treasurer. The law firm of Church, Church, Hittle and Antrim was selected to continue representing the board.

The appointments are for the period of July 1 through June 30, 2023.

The board also OK’d approved the hiring of Luke Cobb as a business education teacher at the high school and Stefini Romilus as a teacher at the elementary school; the appointments of Randy Greene as high school intramurals coach, Riley Nuss as eighth grade volleyball coach and Rilee Robinson as sixth grade volleyball coach; and the hiring of Tim Hatfield and Phil Peters as bus drivers and Sheila Pferrer for night shift cleaning at the high school.
