The annual butterfly count will be Saturday at Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge, 12987 E. U.S. 50, Seymour.

The volunteer-conducted butterfly inventory of the refuge will start at 9:30 a.m. at the visitor center. The weather will probably be hot, so counters should bring plenty of water, a hat, insect repellent, binoculars and a field guide.

The event will be canceled if there is pouring rain.
