Rebecca Jo (Johnson) Fisher, of Medora, passed away unexpectedly on the early morning of June 13, 2022, at University of Louisville Hospital. She was 66 years old.

Becky entered this life on July 25, 1955, in Seymour, Indiana. She was the daughter of Doyle and Verla (Ollis) Johnson, and the youngest sister of Betty, Wilma, and Rex. Becky grew up in Medora and was a graduate of Medora Community Schools, Class of 1973.

Becky was united in marriage to Gary Fisher on February 12, 1991, in Louisville, Kentucky. He survives at the home.

Becky was a devoted wife, loving mother, and Mamaw. She was a mother figure to many of the local kids of Medora. When it came to her family, Becky had a loving soul and was totally devoted to making sure everyone was taken care of. Becky loved being outdoors. She could be found out tending to her furbabies, and she welcomed all of her furbabies, no matter how pitiful (Moose) they may have been, she made sure to give them a loving home. Becky loved to be in the water swimming. If it was a pool, beach or on a pontoon, she felt right at home. Becky loved to cook. She would cook big family meals and she loved invite over whomever was hungry to share in the feast. When her kids were of the age to learn to drive, Becky took the time to teach them and would also teach the other kids in the Medora area how to drive. She loved her family. She would take great pride and joy watching her kids and grandchildren play in sports and other extracurricular activities. Her grandkids were her biggest joy. She would spend hours with them on her lap and enjoyed sitting outside watching the grandkids play or watch them on their go-carts in the yard and just be kids.

Becky leaves a legacy of love with her husband of 31 years, Gary, of Medora, her children Sam Huffman and his fianc? Deana of Lafayette, Shade Fisher and his wife Katie of Medora, Stormy Powell and her husband Nathan of Medora, step-children Larry Myers and his wife Shannon of Westport, and Valerie Fisher of Seymour, fourteen grandchildren, Noah Huffman, Lillie Fisher, Gage Fisher, Briar Powell, Staranna Powell, Arthur Fisher, Zeke Bledsoe, Matthew Moore, Dalton Burton, Joseph Sawyer, Travis Charles, L.J. Myers and his wife Alexis, Kevin Myers, and Keegan Myers, and eight great-grandchildren, and sister Wilma Lee of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Betty England, and brother Rex Gibson.

Funeral Service will be conducted at Hague Funeral Home on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 10:30 am with Pastor Chris Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Dixon Chapel/Proctor Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Hague Funeral Home of Medora on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and on Saturday after 9:30 until time of the service.
