Seymour school board meets Tuesday

The Seymour Community School Corp. board of education will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Seymour Central Service Center, 1420 Corporate Way.

The agenda includes the consent agenda, communications and recognition, donations and grants and an update on the school construction projects. The 2023 budget also will be discussed.

Also on the agenda are the following action items: 2022-23 meal prices, Stacey Townsend; 2022-23 drivers handbook, Tim Fosbrink; recommendation to approve fuel bids for July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023, Tim Fosbrink; 2022-23 textbook rental rates, Steve Nauman; 2022-23 classified employee handbook, appendix and salary schedules, Nauman; recommendation to approve the purchase of additional furniture for ag classrooms, Nauman; and capital projects, Talmadge Reasoner.

The meeting is open to the public and press.

At 6:30 p.m., the board will meet in executive session to discuss school safety and security measures, receive information about individuals over whom the governing body has jurisdiction and discuss strategy with respect to any of the following: Initiation of litigation or litigation that is either pending or has been threatened specifically in writing.
