Stardust Movie Series returns this year

The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce has announced the 2022 schedule for the Stardust Movie Series.

All movies will start around 8:15 p.m. and are free and open to the public.

It starts May 13 at Gaiser Park in Seymour with the showing of “The Bee Movie,” sponsored by the chamber’s environmental committee and Jackson County Recycling District. Before the movie starts, attendees can learn about pollinator plots and native plants and have a chance to win prizes.

The remaining schedule includes June 3 at Bard Street Park in Crothersville with the movie “Goonies,” sponsored by Cerrowire; July 15 at Crossroads Community Park in Seymour with the movie “Clifford the Big Red Dog,” sponsored by Centra Credit Union; Aug. 6 at the Medora Town Park in Medora with the movie “Sandlot,” sponsored by the town of Medora; and Aug. 12 with the movie “Uncle Buck” at Southern Indiana Center for the Arts in Seymour, sponsored by Uptown Realty.

There also will be movies shown Sept. 23 at Brewskies Downtown in Seymour, sponsored by Realtor Roger Wessel, and Oct. 13 at The Point in Seymour, sponsored by The Point. Those movies have yet to be determined.
