The Brownstown Public Library recently received a $5,000 American Rescue Plan Act grant, which was used to purchase digital content for library card holders.

The library was able to purchase 74 Ebooks and 59 audiobooks on OverDrive, according to a news release.

This project was made possible by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services, administered by the Indiana State Library.

The institute is the primary source of federal support for the nation’s 123,000 libraries and 35,000 museums. Its mission has been to inspire libraries and museums to advance innovation, lifelong learning and cultural and civic engagement. For the past 20 years, its grant-making, policy development and research have helped libraries and museums deliver services to communities.
