The Jackson County Invasives Partnership is having a native plant sale.

The partnership is offering plugs of butterfly weed, cardinal flower, columbine, mountain mint, purple coneflower and wild geranium. All plants will cost $3 to $4. Pre-paid orders are required.

The deadline for orders is April 22, and plants can be picked up from 4 to 7 p.m. May 5 at the office of Starve Hollow State Recreation Area, 4345 S. County Road 275W, Vallonia.

The purpose of the sale is to promote some of southern Indiana’s finest native wildflowers for pollinators, birds and other wildlife that will look stunning not only in butterfly gardens and pollinator plantings but in home landscaping.

The partnership includes the Jackson County Soil and Water Conservation District, Aquatic Control, Premier Companies, Indiana Department of Natural Resources and Indiana Cooperative Invasives Management.
