A free genealogy seminar for novice or experienced researchers is planned from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Jennings County Public Library, 2375 N. State Road 3, North Vernon.

The event is co-hosted by the library and the Fort Vallonia chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Ed Kellar, the library’s director of genealogy, will introduce participants to the tools they will need to dig into their ancestry.
