SEYMOUR

Dr. Luyen Le, 50, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022. He was a resident of Seymour.

He was born in 1972 in Vietnam to Thu T. Le and Lan Pham. He married Tiffany Helwig on June 5, 2010 in Seymour. Survivors include his wife, Tiffany Le; parents, Thu T. Le and Lan Pham; children, Gavin T. Le and Kellan V. Le; brothers, C.T. Pham (Cara) and Khoi D. Le (Lauren); nieces, Olivia and Eliana Le.

Luyen was a 1989 graduate of Seymour High School. He later graduated from both Wabash College in 1993, and later from Indiana University Medical School in 1997.

Luyen was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and physician. He was a friend to everyone he met.

He was a general surgeon at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour. His work in the medical field will be long remembered, and his contributions will be felt by the community for years to come. He loved surgery, was kind hearted, and had an impeccable bedside manner.

While busy with his profession, he made time for everyone. He enjoyed playing and spending time with his children, and loved family bike rides. He was very adventurous, including traveling and cooking. His passion for music was clear to all his friends, and played the guitar in a local band.

Visitation hours will be from 1-5PM, Sunday, at Voss &Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 316 N. Chestnut, Seymour. Pastor Scott Roberts will officiate a funeral service to follow at 5PM at the funeral home.
