COLUMBUS

Wes Barnett, 83, of Columbus passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Wes was born in Monticello, Kentucky April 10, 1938, the son of Charles and Mary Smith Barnett. He was a 1957 graduate of Brownstown High School. He married Becky Foerster April 21, 1963 at St. Paul Lutheran Church Clifty.

He was a former employee of Cosco and Stadler Meat Packing and retired from Cummins Engine Company where he was Security Guard Manager at the Fuel Systems Plant. He enjoyed playing golf.

He is survived by his wife Becky Barnett of Columbus; sons, Erik W. and John C. Barnett both of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 11 brothers and sisters.

In keeping with his wishes cremation is planned and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
