The Loyal Devoir Society of Central Christian Church in Seymour met Feb. 22.

President Janice Brock led a prayer for Theo, the son of the church’s lead pastor, and his family.

Lucy Dembek gave devotions on love since February is the month of love. She quoted many verses on love and followed with prayer.

The group celebrated its 112th anniversary with a pitch-in dinner. There were 12 members and four spouses present.

Lois Geuder and her committee of Dianne Kelly, Dembek, Patty Elmore and Retia Murphy were in charge. Dembek baked a cake decorated with chocolate-dipped strawberries for dessert.
