Charles Ray “Chuck” Kasper II, 62, of Seymour, passed away on February 24, 2022, at his home.

Born January 21, 1960, in Seymour, the son of Charles Ray Kasper and Sherry (Jones) Ponsler.

Chuck served in the U.S. Army from 1981 until 1995. He worked as a machinist for Cummins Engine Company for 25 years. He enjoyed racing particularly NASCAR and Formula One, the Indianapolis Colts, reading; guns and was a military buff.

He is survived by his parents, Charles (Ruby) Kasper of Ocala, Florida, and Sherry (James) Ponsler of North Vernon, brothers, Terry S. Kasper of Killeen, Texas, and Timothy Kasper of North Vernon; and step-brother, Mickey Ponsler, of Zanesville, Ohio.

A funeral service for Charles will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2022, at the Dove-Sharp &Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Don Morris officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be in the Indiana Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Madison.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of Chuck for expenses or the American Heart Association.
