Seymour hosting archery state qualifier this weekend

A National Archery in the Schools Program state qualifier tournament will take place Friday and Saturday in Seymour High School’s Lloyd E. Scott Gymnasium.

More than 400 archers from 19 different schools will be competing for the chance to qualify for the state tournament March 12 in Indianapolis.

That will include 15 Seymour High School and 32 Seymour Middle School archers shooting at 6 and 7 p.m. Friday and 21 SHS archers shooting at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Tournament flight times are 5, 6 and 7 p.m. Friday and 9, 10 and 11 a.m., noon and 1 and 2 p.m. Saturday.

The public is invited to the event. Admission is $5 for adults and free for ages 18 and under.
