CLARKSVILLE, TENN.

Nancy Eleanor Gerth, age 81, of Clarksville, TN, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Tennova Healthcare.

Nancy was born August 27, 1940, in Columbus, IN, to the late Chester and Helen Williams, later becoming a proud Army wife and young mother of five children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E Gerth; daughter, Teresa A. Watts; partner of many years, Sam J. Winters and son in law, Paul L. Wright.

Mrs. Gerth is survived by her three sons, Robert J. Hester, Mike Gerth and Richard E. Gerth Jr; daughter, Lisa M Wright; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Family was most important to her. Having a big heart, she never met a stranger and cared for any animal in need. Hobbies were fishing, snorkeling, traveling and shopping just to name a few. Cooking was her passion and she loved to cook for others. She traveled all over the world to places that people dream of as well as every state in the USA. Most of her life she spent as a homemaker to her family. As the children became older, she had a career in real estate and loved it. Later in life she and her partner James started the Gold Wings club of Clarksville and was active for many years traveling state to state by motorcycle, organizing many large events. Nancy enjoyed laughing and having a good time, she felt very blessed to have had such a fulfilling life and often said she was ready for Heaven when called. She will be greatly missed by many.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 22, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time, at Riverview Cemetery, in her hometown of Seymour, IN. She will be laid to rest with her late husband Richard.
