Angela Lynn Dowden, age 33, a native of Lafayette, Louisiana and a resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was born on December 26, 1987 to Anthony W. Dowden and Karen L. Corcoran.

Angela was a Baptist by faith and had her Associates Degree in Physical Therapy. She will forever be remembered as a kind, caring, sweet girl who had a free spirit and was like the warmth of sunshine. She loved people and would often put others needs ahead of her own. She believed in people and gave everyone a chance. She loved art and especially having fun with crafts and creativity with her children. Angela loved to cook and make meals for others with southern cooking being among her favorites. Above all that she loved in this life, nothing compared to the love she had for her children. She was a beloved mother, daughter and niece and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Angela is survived by her mother, Karen L. Corcoran of Seymour, Indiana and her Father, Anthony Dowden and his wife Rebecca of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Three daughters, Madelynn Dowden of Seymour, Indiana, Ariah Edmonds of Seymour, Indiana and Lillianna “Lilli” Dowden of Seymour, Indiana. Three sisters, Anna Dowden of Seymour Indiana, Jennifer Dowden of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Julie Dowden of Lake Charles, Louisiana. One uncle, Tim Corcoran and his wife Sandi of Raleigh, North Carolina. Four Aunts, Maureen “Moe” Gestautas and her husband Andrius of Seymour, Indiana, Sheila Corcoran and her spouse Laura of Speedway, Indiana, Romy Perry and her husband Kenny of Seymour, Indiana and Melissa Hutson of Lake Charles, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents, Joe and Jeanne Corcoran, Paternal Grandmother, Cheryl Likens, one uncle, Pat Corcoran and one aunt, Kathy Corcoran.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Van Breeding officiating.
