Wanda Jean (Shelton) Frady, age 71, a native of Seymour, Indiana, and a resident of Brownstown, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Schneck Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Shelton and the late Lillian (Pruitt) Shelton.

Wanda was a Christian by faith. She loved gardening and took much pride and attention in her flowers and making sure that the grass was exactly three inches tall. She never started something that she didn’t finish. Wanda was a giver and would often out the needs of others ahead of her own. She loved cooking and the family will forever treasure the memories of her fried chicken, mac and cheese and brownies. For over 17 years, Wanda was the Jackson County Jail “First Lady Sargeant” and always made sure that the inmates were treated with respect.

She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Larry Frady of Seymour, Indiana, one son, Shawn Frady and his wife Jana of Seymour, Indiana. Two sisters, Lana Jackson and her husband Howard of Ocala, Florida and Sharon Fields of Brownstown, Indiana. Four grandchildren, Samantha Davis and her husband Mike of Seymour, Indiana, Austin Frady and his wife Audrey of Seymour, Indiana, Brayden Bunch of Seymour, Indiana and Nicolas Frady of Seymour, Indiana. Two great grandchildren, Beckham Davis and Russell Frady.

She was preceded in death by he parents, one nephew, Jason Jackson and one brother in law, Donald Fields.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Brownstown Church of the Nazarene. Funeral services will be held at the church beginning at 12:00 PM with Pastor Tim Lichtley officiating.
