The Brownstown Town Council will meet at 6 p.m. today at the town hall, 116 E. Cross St., Brownstown.

The meeting will start with a public hearing for the 2022 town budget.

There also will be the second reading of an alley vacation ordinance for North Poplar Street between West Walnut and Cross streets and reports from the police, wastewater and street departments.

The latter will include an abandoned vehicle ordinance, a four-way stop at the Bloomington Road/Frances Street/Elm Street intersection, status of the Orchard Lane/Ewing Street drainage project and an update on the street department building.

Also, the park board president will talk about the park land parcel for the Brownstown Central High School baseball field, an update will be given on the Ewing Depot, a right of way and easement will be discussed and the trick or treat time and date will be set.
